Linda Falcone from Penn State Extension was the guest speaker at the Dec 20 Rotary Luncheon at Purkey's Pink Apple. Linda is an Extension Educator dealing with Business and Community Vitality.

She can help with economic development in the region and educate persons with political aspirations of those running for office.

She can also help with “Placemaking”, which can reinvent spaces to promote economic, development, health, happiness and well being.  Steps in placemaking include: examine the function of the space, design a pleasing & interactive environment and then create destinations to return to time and time again to encourage people to move here.  Linda then gave examples of Rotary Clubs that have helped create places in their communities that attract people to come visit and stay to live here.
