Mehoopany Wind Farm Donates $5,000 for Fireworks

At the June 22 Rotary Luncheon, Neal Allred from the Mehoopany Wind Farm of BP Wind Energy, presented Fireworks Chair Harry Sharpe with a check for $5,000 to help support the July 3rd Fireworks display at Memorial Stadium. BP Wind Energy has been a supporting sponsor of the Fireworks since 2014.

 

The Tunkhannock Rotary Club has put on the Fireworks Display for Wyoming and surrounding counties since 1983, with the band entertainment portion of the festivities commencing in 2007. Families and friends picnic on the lawn and enjoy each other’s company, while listening to the music of amRadio. Admission is free, although donations are gratefully accepted to help fund the next year’s Fireworks.
