At the Nov 2, Tunkhannock Rotary Luncheon at Purkey's Pink Apple, Drug Take Back Outreach Committee Chair, Frank Oliver, announced the DA Jeff Mitchell reported that 157 lbs of drugs were turned in for the Oct. Drug Take Back event. DA Mitchell thanked Rotary for performing community outreach and publicity for this event to get unused or expired drugs out of people's medicine cabinets for safe disposal. Over a ton of drugs have been collected since the program was initiated by the DA's office.
