90th Anniversary Celebration on Aug 30

Over 100 Rotarians, family and friends gathered at Shadowbrook Inn and Resort on Aug 30 for a celebration of 90 years of service by the Rotary Club of Tunkhannock.

 

After a delicious buffet and slice of Anniversary carrot cake made by Sisile Maruzzelli, Master of Ceremonies Norm Kelly introduced the Past District Governors (PDG) in attendance, our current DG Barbara Belon, PA State Rep. Karen Boback (Dallas Rotary) and Wyo. Cty. Commissioner Tom Henry (Tunkhannock Rotary).

 

Members of the Tunkhannock Kiwanis also attended the celebration. Although friendly rivals, the two Clubs have cooperated over the years on many community projects.

 

Norm also welcomed Marty Snyder from the Rotary Club of Pittston, the Club that sponsored the Tunkhannock Club in 1925 and representatives of the new Wyalusing Area Rotary Club sponsored in May 2015 by the Tunkhannock Club.
